REGULAR PROGRAM

All programs establish high expectations for students, and Avalon students consistently achieve Provincial Achievement Test results above District and Provincial levels. In academic core subjects of Language Arts, Science, Mathematics and Social Studies, Avalon offers more time than Alberta Education's minimum requirements. The school also offers superb programs in Art, Instrumental Music, Construction, Foods and Nutrition, Drama, Design Fundamentals, Active Living/Sports Performance, and Environmental Outdoor Education. French as a Second Language is offered to all students in Grades 7, 8 and 9 in the Regular English Program.
