Dear École Avalon School Community,
At École Avalon, we believe that education extends beyond the classroom—it’s about fostering meaningful relationships and building a supportive community where every student can thrive. Our dedicated staff is committed to nurturing each student's potential, encouraging their growth, and celebrating their achievements.
This year, our theme is “Limitless Potential.” We embrace this concept wholeheartedly, encouraging students to dream big and pursue their passions without boundaries. Whether it's exploring new academic frontiers, engaging in creative endeavors, or developing lifelong skills, we are here to guide and support every step of the way.
Our school thrives on strong partnerships with students, parents, and the broader community. By working together, we create an environment where every individual feels valued and empowered. We invite you to join us in making this year a remarkable journey of discovery and success.
Welcome to École Avalon—where together, we reach beyond limits!
Warm regards,
Geoff Sader, Principal, École Avalon School
Hello potential new Knights families!
Please join us for our open house on January 29, 2026 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Avalon is an overflow designated school for Riverbend, which has a lottery process in place for 2026-27. Resident attendance area students from Riverbend should enrol at that school first if they wish to be a part of the lottery process. If your child is part of the lottery process at Riverbend and is not selected to attend that school, they will be able to attend Avalon.
Siblings
Siblings of students who will be returning to Riverbend the following school year will also be able to attend Avalon if they are not selected in the lottery process.
Learn more
More information about the lottery process is available on the Edmonton Public Schools website.
If you have additional questions about this process, please call the school office at 780-434-8402.
CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS PRE-ENROL
You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens at 8 a.m. on February 2.
A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division school with space in planned classes.
NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION
If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.
If you have questions about registering, contact the school office.

Thanks to all the families who pre-enrolled before the March 19, 2025 deadline to help our school get ready for next year!
